Job summary

American Century Investments is seeking a Corporate Security Officer for the Kansas City, MO office. The role focuses on protecting people, property, and information while handling client needs and enforcing security procedures.

The position is full-time with an evening shift, onsite at our Kansas City campus. Requires a Private Officer’s Commission, CPR/AED, First Aid, and strong communication skills. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role.

Qualifications

• One year security or equivalent experience required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Current Kansas City, Missouri Police Department Private Officer’s Commission license or eligible to obtain.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of access control, video surveillance, firefighting equipment and first aid equipment.

Responsibilities

• Protect company properties, employees, and assets by patrolling buildings and grounds.
• Provide protective escorts as needed or upon request.
• Provide traffic control and parking enforcement.
• Investigate safety and security incidents when assigned.
• Complete incident reports and other required documents.
• Monitor security video surveillance systems, access control systems and related alarm equipment.
• Respond to safety and security calls according to procedures.
