Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services at Chestnut Hill College seeks a skilled culinary associate to prepare nutritious meals in line with federal, state, local and company standards. You will follow established recipes, operate and clean equipment, and help maintain proper storage and records.

Shifts run 3:00 pm to 9:30 pm with some weekend hours. This role supports the Food Service Director and may supervise staff while ensuring HACCP compliance and safety throughout operations.

Qualifications

• Prior culinary experience required.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• May oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by the Food Service Director.
• Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment after each use, perform scheduled routine cleaning.
• Store, label and date food items according to policy; help maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Assist the Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completing required documentation, reports, and logs.
• Assist in cross‑training employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
