Job summary

Good Samaritan in Bloomfield, NJ is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our not-for-profit senior care team. The CNA will assist residents with daily living activities, vital signs, and mobility under RN supervision, in a 70-bed skilled nursing facility offering long-term and post-acute care.

The role includes evening shifts with generous night and weekend differentials, a robust benefits package, and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required; state certification or enrollment within four months.
• Clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Infection prevention and PPE use knowledge; documentation of resident care and vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and mobility using proper techniques.
• Assist with meals, dining, hydration, and dietary documentation.
• Support nursing staff and communicate changes in resident conditions.
• Participate in wellness and recreational activities and maintain environmental cleanliness.
