Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduated from an accredited Nursing Assistant or comparable healthcare training program.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the applicable state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Previous experience in a physician’s office, clinic, ambulatory care, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to meet all credentialing, background, and security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members with patient care activities as directed.
• Support diagnostic testing and clinical procedures in accordance with training, certification, and facility protocols.
• Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as assigned and trained.
• Obtain and document patient histories and basic health information.
• Measure, monitor, and record vital signs accurately.
• Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens following infection control and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
• Observe patients for changes in condition and report findings promptly to nursing staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and facility privacy standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
