Job summary

AvaMed Workforce is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 6-month evening contract at California State Prison, Corcoran, Corcoran, CA. The role involves 8-hour shifts from 1:45 PM to 10:15 PM, five days per week. Dates are 11/23/2026 – 05/23/2027 with a 1-week orientation and 4–6 weeks of on-the-job training.

BLS certification is required; correctional experience is preferred. Successful candidates will undergo background checks, TB tests, and health clearances; Cerner EHR experience

Qualifications

• Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Correctional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care, vital signs and activities of daily living.
• Document care accurately and report changes to nursing staff.
• Follow all safety, security and contraband procedures.
