Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, Delaware, seeks a Clinical Pharmacist (Evening Shift) to join the Central Pharmacy and Outpatient Pharmacies. This full-time role includes reviewing orders, guiding technicians, and providing age-appropriate care across all ages.

You will support drug information for hospital staff and the community, participate in quality improvement, and ensure compliance with regulations concerning controlled substances. Schedule: evenings, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD is required.
• 1–3 years experience required.
• Must be licensed or license eligible in DE, PA, & NJ with licensure started and obtained by 90 days after hire.
• Associates who are not licensed in PA or NJ must obtain licensure within 6 months after start.
• Non-sterile operations (unit dose training, etc.).
• Sterile operations (IV compounding, etc.).
• TPN, Oncology and Dialysis experience; Drug Storage; Distribution, and Automation Technology Systems; Pharmacy Software.
• Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred, Pediatric Pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Previews and interprets medication orders for accuracy using pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic considerations.
• Provides specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug use and therapeutic outcomes, advising on drug therapy, interactions, and dosing.
• Provide accurate, timely drug information to staff, patients, and families.
• Coordinate activities of certified pharmacy technicians in preparation, labeling and delivery of medications.
• Facilitate orientations and educational programs for medical staff and residents on Pharmacy Services.
• Participate in medication use review activities and maintain logs and records.
