Qualifications

• Requires Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy with licensure.
• 0-1 years of hospital or retail pharmacy experience required; 1-2 years hospital experience preferred.
• Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepares, verifies, and dispenses medications per prescriptions and regulations.
• Reviews orders, assesses regimens, and offers therapy optimization recommendations.
• Counsels patients and families on proper medication use and adherence strategies.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and care teams to resolve medication-related issues.
• Supports medication safety initiatives, quality improvement, and compliance audits.
