Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Clinical Care Technician for the Evening shift at the Main Hospital in New Brunswick. You will assist with vital signs, patient care, and nursing support in a fast-paced Surgical Unit-II, with emphasis on safety and compassionate care.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and BLS certification; CNA experience is preferred. The position is paid hourly with a range of duties including documentation in the EHR and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required and a current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Previous nursing assistant experience or CNA training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily patient care tasks such as vital signs and personal care.
• Take vitals, monitor patient status, and support RNs with care plans.
• Document patient information in EHR systems accurately and confidentially.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and therapists to coordinate care.
• Apply Basic Life Support (BLS) in emergencies when needed.
• Support patient transitioning from admission to discharge.
