Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a dedicated Central Service Technician for the evening, full-time shift. You will be responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment, following Infection Control practices and supporting patient care areas.

You will dispense products requested by verbal, written, or telephone requisitions, prioritize emergency requests, and occasionally take charge of Central Service/Linen/Equipment Control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification or equivalent training in central service preferred.
• Certification as Central Service Technician or related credential is desirable and will be pursued as needed.
• Within four years prior to 2015, evidence of central service employment or contract work; if not met, 18 months from hire to obtain credential.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process and sterilize supplies and equipment per Infection Control practices.
• Dispense products requested by verbal, written or telephone requisitions.
• Identify and prioritize emergency requisitions.
• Occasionally take charge of Central Service/Linen/Equipment Control.
