Jacksons-Food-Stores in Portland, OR is seeking an Overnight Cashier for part-time evening hours. You will process transactions, keep the store clean, and help create a welcoming environment for guests during late-night shifts.

The role requires flexible availability for a 24/7 operation, strong communication, reliability, and prior cashiering experience is a plus. Benefits include opportunities for advancement, discounts, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability for a 24/7 operation (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, can-do attitude.
• Reliability, integrity, and a history of doing the right thing.
• Prior retail or foodservice cashiering experience is a plus.
• Ability to think quickly and adapt to change.
• Must meet legal age requirements to sell regulated products (alcohol and tobacco). NV Only – Must be of legal age to work around slot machines.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile, thank them for their business, and invite them back.
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate checkout service.
• Apply discounts and promotions as applicable while following all company policies and laws related to restricted sales (alcohol, tobacco, etc.).
• Maintain a clean and organized store, inside and out.
• Stock and rotate shelves, coolers, and displays properly.
• Assist with additional store duties as needed.
