Aging Kingdom Homecare is a faith-based, in-home care provider in Portland, ME, offering personal care, light housekeeping, transportation and companionship. We seek compassionate caregivers (CNA, PSS, HHA, PCA) for part-time schedules within York County and beyond.

We provide Same Day Pay, a referral program, mileage reimbursement, 401(k) matching, paid time off, bonuses based on performance, and opportunities for advancement. Training and development are also available to support your growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of full-time personal care experience or equivalent in-home care.
• Sympathetic attitude toward elderly care.
• Ability to read, write and follow directions.
• Maturity and ability to handle job demands.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid license.
• Criminal history check is required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance.
• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation.
• Assist with meals and personal care.
• Complete client shopping or accompany them.
• Perform housekeeping duties and report incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Other duties as assigned.

CNA, PSS, HHA, PCA and CAREGIVERS

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: Same-day pay, Weekly, Direct Deposit, 60-day review for increase, incentives throughout the month.

Job Description

Aging Kingdom caregivers provide service to individuals in their own homes and communities who need assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, disability, and/or other inflictions. Personal Care may include assistance with the activities of daily living, housecleaning, laundry, meal preparation, transportation, companionship, and respite.

Responsible for ensuring service is delivered in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant Agency policies and industry standards.

Qualifications & Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• One year of full-time experience in personal care or an institutional setting, such as a hospital or nursing home, or one-year full-time experience within the last five years in direct client care in a home care agency setting; or
• Evidence of sympathetic attitude toward elderly care
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and carry out directions.
• Evidence of maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work closely supervised to ensure competence in providing client care.
• Must have a criminal history check conducted prior to being offered a position with the agency.
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle and license.
• CPR and First Aid certifications from a recognized provider are a plus
