Job summary

Herewith is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide evening companionship and supervision for a female client in her 60s in Suffolk, VA. The role involves safe, supportive presence during nighttime hours, gentle assistance, and respect for the client’s routines.

You’ll work Fridays to Sundays and some Wednesdays, 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM, with a $15/hr rate. Home has two cats, so comfort with pets is important, along with strong communication and reliability.

Qualifications

• Patient, attentive, and reliable.
• Comfortable working in a home with cats.
• Strong communication and observation skills.
• Prior caregiving or companionship experience preferred but not required.
• Able to provide respectful and supportive supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and overnight presence during scheduled hours.
• Assist the client to and from the bathroom as needed; provide timely medication reminders (non-medical).
• Assist with getting on and off her bike in the evening.
• Ensure a safe, calm, and supportive environment.
