Job summary

Mentor Community Services, part of Sevita, is hiring a part-time caregiver for the 2nd shift (3pm–11pm) at Southport Home in Summerville, SC 29414. You’ll help individuals with personal care, support daily living, and participate in community activities.

We value compassionate, patient caregivers with at least six months in human services, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. Competitive benefits are noted for Sevita roles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, and time-management.
• Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal hygiene and support those with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Help participants work toward developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Develop meaningful relationships with participants and support community engagement.
• Be patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible in daily interactions.
