Job summary

State of Montana Department of Administration in Helena seeks a Capitol Custodian for the Evening Shift to maintain the Capitol building and adjacent facilities. You will perform cleaning duties, assist with event setup, and respond to spills or hazards while upholding safety standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work Monday–Friday with evening hours. A background check is required and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors and restrooms and perform routine cleaning tasks.
• Wash walls and glass, remove rubbish, and perform upkeep activities.
• Assist with event set-up and clean-up and report repairs as needed.
• Respond to emergencies involving biohazards or spills and follow safety procedures.
• Notify management when repairs are needed and use proper cleaning methods.
