Qualifications

• Six months of professional custodial experience.
• Institutional housekeeping experience and the ability to clean with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains all cleaning equipment.
• Strips, wet mops, dust mops, and waxes floors.
• Washes walls, windows, glass partitions, and blackboards.
• Maintains and cleans washrooms.
• Polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Moves furniture from building to building as needed.
• Sets up and rearranges rooms for special events/functions.
• Removes all trash and other rubbish.
• Maintains recycling equipment.
• Vacuums and shampoos carpets.
• Removes and installs curtains/draperies.
• Receives and stores 55-gallon drums, paper supplies, and other housekeeping supplies.
• Responsible for assuring that areas found locked on arrival are locked on departure.
• Responsible for the safekeeping and preservation of housekeeping equipment.
• Responsible for reporting equipment damaged or lost.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
