The DM Burr Group is hiring for a Full Time Custodian - 2nd Shift at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI. The role involves cleaning and maintaining facilities, operating floor care equipment, and following safety procedures.

The position offers a wage of $18.00 per hour, a $200 hiring bonus after 90 days, DailyPay option, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO and paid holidays. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:30 pm–10:00 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• 0-6 months custodial/janitorial experience preferred.
• Must read and follow label instructions on cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

• Use approved cleaning methods and materials to clean assigned facilities.
• Operate floor care equipment (scrubbers, buffers, stripping machines, vacuums).
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, and polish floors.
• Empty trash; clean/restock restrooms and break rooms.
• Record cleaning actions in logs and report to supervisor.
• Perform light building maintenance as needed and report safety issues.
