Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Indiana is seeking a Transportation Courier to perform hospital deliveries, donor center pickups, and supply transfers with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability. The role covers blood product handling, timely route execution, and customer service within a regulated environment.

The position requires a High School Diploma, 4–6 years of route driving experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 4-6 years experience as a route driver preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.

Responsibilities

• Executes Versiti policies and procedures for internal blood product hospital deliveries and returns, donor center pick-ups, equipment, interoffice mail, supply deliveries, distribution site transfers, Diagnostic Lab sample pick-ups, Pharmacy deliveries, Donor Testing Lab tube deliveries
• Ensures the safety, purity, potency and efficacy of products by following Versiti procedures in handling of all blood and blood products
• Communicates fleet maintenance needs, completes pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuels vehicles, and general vehicle upkeep
• Organize non-scheduled STAT deliveries and special requests to maintain efficiency and meet customer requirements
• Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all regulatory and safety requirements
