Job summary

Union County College is seeking an Automotive Technology Adjunct Faculty for Evening Courses (Spring 2027) at the Cranford campus with openings also in Elizabeth, Plainfield and Scotch Plains. The role focuses on teaching automotive technology lectures and lab sessions, in person or online as needed, and requires coordination with the Engineering Technology department.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s Degree with ASE certifications and have prior community college teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s Degree with ASE certifications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Some teaching experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses as published in the catalog and syllabus.
• Willingness to teach in person and/or online.
• Teach per catalog/course syllabus and schedule with interactive methods.
• Advise Division/Assistant Dean of absences promptly.
• Maintain accurate grade and attendance records and submit required reports.
• Submit grades by published deadlines.
• Participate in assessment of learning outcomes.
• Plan in advance to ensure supplies, textbooks, and equipment.
• Submit progress reports on students and discuss issues with counselors.
• Adhere to College policies and procedures.
