Job summary

Momentum for Health is seeking a CADC-certified Addictions Counselor for a Monday–Friday shift from 12:00pm to 8:30pm in California. Union-scale pay applies with six steps, and CADC I/II/III credentials are required.

The role includes counseling, case management, and collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare teams, with a strong emphasis on recovery, relapse prevention, and community integration.

Qualifications

• CADC I/II/III certification required (E)
• Minimum education and experience per listed criteria
• Excellent English communication; ability to work with diverse populations

Responsibilities

• Provide substance use counseling and case management for a varied caseload.
• Lead individual and group counseling sessions; develop relapse prevention skills.
• Educate clients' families to support recovery transitions.
• Complete clinical records; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate care with internal and external mental health professionals.
