Job summary

ChargePoint is seeking a Regulatory Engineer to guide the regulatory aspects of the design, test, and certification of its next‑generation AC/DC EV charging equipment. You will work with US/EU/UK teams and labs to ensure safety standards are met and third‑party certifications are achieved efficiently.

Ideal candidates hold a BS/MS in Physics or Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, 2–4 years of Regulatory Engineering experience, and are self‑driven with strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in written and verbal English is mandatory.
  • Experience in design, test, and certification of electrical products to international standards.
  • Experience in Regulatory and Compliance Engineering, such as safety testing and certification.
  • Self-directed and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the regulatory aspects of design, test, and certification of ChargePoint’s EV charging equipment.
  • Inform design and test teams of safety requirements from applicable standards and create supporting docs.
  • Understand North American and EU safety standards and related UL/IEC standards.
  • Create test plans to validate safety designs for third‑party certification on first iteration.
  • Perform safety tests and support prototype debugging and certification witness testing.
  • Provide technical support for lab setup and production line testing related to safety certifications.
