Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) seeks a Paint Process Engineer to set targets, analyze data, and lead improvements in the paint plant for vehicle production. This role focuses on achieving production and quality goals for Hyundai's EV mass-production facility.

Responsibilities include coordinating operators, overseeing new model inputs, managing facility upgrades, reducing costs, and ensuring safety and compliance across production operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering required.
• 2+ years of job-related experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products or equivalent applications.
• Deep understanding of external markets and current trends.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in data analysis and developing proposals.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must communicate with H /KMC employees on business.
• Job experience related to the automotive industry (Automotive paint plant).
• Working experience of managing projects related with paint facilities, conveyor system, robot.

Responsibilities

• Set targets in the paint plant and lead activities to achieve them.
• Analyze production and quality data to improve productivity and paint quality.
• Coordinate and supervise operators, including training.
• Oversee new model input, facility modifications, and tool preparation.
• Develop cost-reduction strategies and efficiency improvements.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in the paint plant.
