Job summary

Zobility is seeking an Automotive Cooling System Design and Release Engineer to drive design, validation, and release of cooling components for gas and electrified vehicles. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage suppliers, and lead DFMEA/DVP&R activities to ensure performance, safety, and quality from concept to launch.

Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of automotive engineering experience with focus on designing and releasing cooling system components for electrified vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of cooling system components (radiators, condensers, fans, pumps, valves, heaters).
  • Proficiency in CATIA V5 and/or Unigraphics NX for design and modeling; experience with Vis Mockup and Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, validation, and release of cooling components for electrified vehicles (modules, coolers, hoses, heaters, valves, pumps).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, safety, and quality objectives.
  • Create and maintain DVP&R and DFMEA documents for cooling components.
  • Drive program timing milestones by coordinating tasks and resources within the project timeline.
  • Apply APQP principles to guide development and robust launches.
  • Utilize CAE tools to run simulations and optimize designs for efficiency and performance.
  • Leverage CATIA V5, Unigraphics NX, Vis Mockup, and Teamcenter for design communication.
  • Apply DFSS methodologies to improve quality and reliability of cooling systems.
  • Lead supplier relationships and ensure delivery of high-quality components.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, testing, and quality teams to integrate cooling components into vehicle architecture.
