Job summary

Harbinger in Garden Grove, CA is hiring a skilled Chassis Assembly Build Technician on a contract basis to lead the assembly of chassis components and ensure production targets and quality standards are met.

You will read drawings, install mechanical and electrical parts, perform quality checks, troubleshoot issues, maintain records, and uphold safety protocols in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or automotive assembly is a plus.
• Experience in chassis assembly or related field, ideally in the automotive industry.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Commitment to workplace safety and following safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assemble chassis components according to drawings and specs with tight tolerances and quality control.
• Install and secure mechanical and electrical components like suspension, steering, brakes, wiring.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks at each stage to identify defects.
• Diagnose and resolve assembly issues, collaborating with engineering and maintenance.
• Maintain records of procedures, part numbers, and modifications.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe workspace.
• Perform routine maintenance on assembly equipment and tools.
• Contribute to process improvements and training participation.
