Job summary

tesa is seeking a Product Developer for its Automotive business to lead the design and development of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes for automotive applications, including EV battery focus. You will collaborate with global R&D teams, marketing, sales, and key customers to ensure performance, manufacturability, and customer value.

The role requires a chemistry/materials background with strong analytical skills, cross-functional communication, and up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science (PhD preferred).
• Strong analytical and process-oriented thinking; Able to communicate clearly and work across functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop adhesive tapes for automotive (EV battery) market with cross-functional teams.
• Lead and manage innovative product development projects from concept to completion.
• Create, build, and evaluate prototypes and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Drive material and formulation development and define relevant test methods.
• Lead co-development projects with customers resulting in new products.
• Participate in tech days, trade fairs, and open house events.
• Analyze market trends to shape product strategy and maintain competitive edge.
