Job summary

Royal Automotive Group in Tucson, AZ is seeking a European Service Technician to diagnose, maintain and repair BMW and other European vehicles to manufacturer standards. The role emphasizes quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

You will use advanced diagnostic tools, perform preventive maintenance, document findings, and work with service advisors to deliver timely repairs. Experience with European luxury vehicles and a drive for ongoing training are valued.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• 2+ years automotive technician experience
• BMW/European luxury dealer-level experience preferred
• BMW certification preferred
• ASE certifications are a plus
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical, mechanical and diagnostic systems
• Experience using computerized diagnostic equipment and repair software
• Ability to diagnose and repair vehicles independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver's license with clean record
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Willingness to participate in manufacturer training and ongoing education

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair European/BMW vehicles using advanced diagnostic equipment and repair procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance, factory-scheduled services, and multi-point inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair engine, electrical, drivetrain, suspension, steering, braking, and HVAC systems.
• Use diagnostic software and service bulletins to identify and resolve concerns.
• Perform warranty and customer-pay repairs per BMW standards.
• Document findings, procedures and recommendations thoroughly.
• Maintain knowledge of BMW technologies and electric/hybrid systems.
• Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to ensure timely repairs.
• Keep shop areas clean, safe and organized.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

As a European Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing BMW/ European vehicles according to manufacturer standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a passion for automotive technology, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service and quality workmanship.

Service Technician Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair European/BMW vehicles using advanced diagnostic equipment and repair procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance, factory-scheduled services, and multi-point vehicle inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair engine, electrical, drivetrain, suspension, steering, braking, and HVAC systems.
• Utilize diagnostic software, technical service bulletins, and repair information to accurately identify and resolve vehicle concerns.
• Perform warranty and customer-pay repairs in compliance with BMW manufacturer standards.
• Document diagnostic findings, repair procedures, and recommendations accurately and thoroughly.
• Maintain current knowledge of BMW technologies, electric and hybrid vehicle systems, and manufacturer repair procedures.
• Collaborate with service advisors and fellow technicians to ensure timely and efficient vehicle repairs.
• Maintain shop equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
• Consistently deliver high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Service Technician Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 2+ years of automotive technician experience required.
• Previous BMW, European luxury vehicle, or dealer-level experience preferred.
• BMW certification is preferred but not required.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic systems.
• Experience using computerized diagnostic equipment and repair software.
• Ability to diagnose and repair vehicles independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Positive attitude and desire for ongoing professional development and manufacturer training.
