Job summary

European Motorsports in North County San Diego is seeking an ASE master technician specializing in German brands. You’ll handle maintenance and advanced diagnostics on BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and MINI, with occasional VW/Audi work.

You’ll bring 5+ years of hands-on experience, own tools, and a commitment to accurate diagnostics. No weekend work; competitive compensation and a collaborative shop environment.

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic abilities and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with or willingness to learn other brands (VW/Audi).

Responsibilities

European Motorsports is a family-owned independent shop operated since 1992 in the North County San Diego area. We specializing in German vehicles. We’re a small team, known for diagnosing problems correctly the first time, and your input on diagnostics and process matters here. Our hours are Mon - Thurs 7am - 5:30pm. And Friday 8 - 12. No weekends. Our average technicians have been with us for over 20 years.

We do not accept insurance work, 3rd party extended warranty work, or customer supplied parts. We do not do DVIs.

The Role

We’re looking for an ASE master technician to work primarily on BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and MINI, with occasional VW/Audi. You’ll handle everything from routine maintenance to advanced diagnostics and repair.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues
• Perform maintenance, suspension, brakes, cooling, engine, and drivetrain work
• Use factory-level diagnostic tools (VCDS, AUTEL, PIWIS, or equivalent) to trace faults properly
• Document findings and repairs clearly for the service advisor and customer
• Keep your bay clean and organized

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience on BMW, Mercedes-Benz, or Porsche
• Strong diagnostic skills: root cause, not parts swapping
• Existing experience with, or willingness to learn, the other brands
• Own tools
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Reliable, on time, and honest about what you know and don’t know
• AC certification

Preferred

• Dealer or specialty independent shop background
• Coding, programming, and module replacement experience
• ASE certifications or factory training
• Modern diagnostic equipment and current service information
