University of New Hampshire – Main Campus is hiring an ETS/TRIO Academic Advisor for the Manchester area. This full-time role provides targeted academic, career, and financial literacy guidance to middle and high school students, including college enrollment support and financial aid advising.

The advisor will maintain program records, prepare data submissions, and collaborate with schools, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance student success.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Education, Counseling or Human Services with two years experience working with middle/high school students; or a Bachelor's with four years related experience.
• Experience using a variety of computer applications.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and provide services to TRIO eligible middle school and high school students in the target area.
• Provide educational, career, college, financial literacy and financial aid information.
• Provide academic support and advising, individually and in groups.
• Collect data for program and USDE reports; maintain records and files.
• Collaborate with school personnel and community organizations to support participant success.
• Plan and implement college visits, job site tours and other experiences for participants.
• Establish contact with parents via workshops, meetings, email and phone.
• Attend seminars, staff meetings and workshops; perform additional administrative tasks.
