Job summary

Ask ITC Inc. in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an ETL Developer with Peoplesoft HCM or Financial experience to design, implement and maintain ETL processes within an Enterprise Data Warehouse environment.

You will develop ETL jobs mainly in IBM DataStage, troubleshoot and optimize existing jobs, follow established standards, provide guidance on scheduling and debugging, and collaborate with Georgia Tech teams on data integration initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Analyze reporting requirements to determine development methods and templates.
• Work in an EDW environment to build a data warehouse from Georgia Tech systems.
• Develop ETL jobs primarily in IBM DataStage to satisfy business processes.
• Troubleshoot and improve existing ETL jobs and refactor non-compliant ones.
• Provide guidance on DataStage administration such as scheduling and debugging.
• Collaborate with other development teams to share ETL best practices.
• Monitor nightly loads and troubleshoot any issues.
• Maintain technical support documentation and related duties.

Analyze reporting requirements to determine development methods, development templates, and to determine job scheduling.

Work in an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environment tasked to build a data warehouse using complex transformations that come from many of Georgia Tech’s systems.

Develop ETL jobs primarily in IBM Data Stage, that satisfy identified business process and data models.

Troubleshoot and help improve existing ETL jobs.

Follow set standards and best practices in ETL development. Refactor existing jobs that do not follow set standards.

Provide guidance in some Data Stage administration tasks such as scheduling jobs, troubleshooting job errors, identifying issues in unusually long running jobs, etc.

Work with other development units in improving best practices in ETL development for Georgia Tech.

Monitor nightly loads and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Maintain technical support documentation.

Other related duties as assigned.
