Job summary

Sentar Inc. is hiring an ETL Developer SME in Chantilly, VA to develop, analyze, and maintain applications for a Federal Law Enforcement client.

You will leverage data analysis, data query, data aggregation, and BI/data warehousing skills to enable investigators to analyze case data and advance operations. You will build ETL mappings, optimize performance, and work through the full SDLC in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams while supporting a multi-enclave security

Qualifications

• Experience developing ETL mappings to extract, transform, and load data from source systems.
• Ability to analyze data for BI and data warehousing solutions and optimize performance.
• Familiarity with data visualization, data aggregation, and data query techniques.
• Proficiency with SQL across MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server.
• Experience in Agile development environments and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop ETL mappings to extract data from source systems and load into targets.
• Tune performance of mappings for efficient data processing.
• Work across phases of the development life cycle (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment).
• Write complex statements, scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views.
• Implement BI and data warehousing solutions for case data analysis.
• Apply data warehousing concepts and best practices in projects.
• Support a multi-enclave environment (Unclassified, Secret, Top Secret).
• Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.

Sentar is seeking a ETL Developer SME in Chantilly, VA.

Role Description:

As an ETL Developer SME, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining software applications for a Federal Law Enforcement customer. You will utilize your expertise in data analysis, data query, data aggregation, data visualization, and software development to implement business intelligence and data warehousing solutions that enable cyber professionals to effectively analyze case data and advance investigations.

• Develop ETL mappings to extract data from source systems, transform data based on business requirements, and load into target systems?
• Conduct performance tuning of mappings to ensure data is processed efficiently?
• Work across multiple phases of the Development Life Cycle (requirements, design, development, testing and deployment)?
• Write complex statements, scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views?
• Implement business intelligence and data warehousing solutions?
• Apply data warehousing and reporting platform concepts and drive best practices?
• Support the multi-enclave environment (Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret)?
• Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities?
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration?

Qualifications:

Clearance Level: Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and ability to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

Education: Bachelor's degree OR Master's degree with 10 years of experience OR Associate degree with 13 years of experience OR High School/Diploma with 16 years of experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field?

Experience:

• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence concept
• Data analysis, query, aggregation, and visualization techniques
• ETL processes and data transformation
• SQL and database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL)
• Software development fundamentals
• Data management and big data technologies
• Version control systems (Git)
