Job summary

Cloud Analytics Technologies, LLC seeks a senior data engineer/DBA to own SQL Server environments end-to-end, from design to migration and performance tuning. You will build robust ETL pipelines using SSIS, implement HA/DR, and partner on cloud migrations with Azure and AWS, while enabling BI reporting with Power BI/SSRS.

The role emphasizes strong stakeholder communication, enterprise-scale data stewardship, and hands-on automation using PowerShell and .NET technologies.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of MS SQL Server experience with enterprise deployments.
• 5+ years with SSIS ETL design and implementation.
• 5+ years in database architecture, modeling, and large-scale migrations.
• 4+ years in Windows Server administration and deployment.
• 4+ years with .NET stack including PowerShell, ASP.NET, C#.
• 4+ years implementing HA/DR solutions (Always On, Mirroring, Log Shipping).
• Experience with cloud DB platforms (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, AWS RDS).
• Familiarity with tSQLt and automated DB CI/CD, BI tooling (SSRS/Power BI).
• Strong stakeholder communication and design presentation skills.

Job description

6+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server (2016 through current), T-SQL development, performance tuning, and query optimization.

5+ years of experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and ETL best practices.

5+ years of experience in database architecture, data modeling, schema design, and executing large-scale data migration/conversion projects.

4+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2008 through current) and database platform deployment/administration.

4+ years of experience developing automation and application components using Microsoft .NET technologies, including PowerShell scripting, ASP.NET, and C#.

4+ years of experience implementing SQL Server high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Always On Availability Groups, Database Mirroring, Log Shipping).

4+ years of equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Azure Data Engineer Associate.

Experience with cloud database platforms and migration tools (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, AWS RDS).

Familiarity with T-SQL unit testing frameworks (e.g., tSQLt) and automated database CI/CD using Git/Azure DevOps.

Experience with BI tooling and reporting (SSRS, Power BI) and data governance practices.

Proven track record in stakeholder management and presenting technical designs to enterprise and client audiences.
