Job summary

Grant Thornton in Chicago seeks an Independence & Ethics Senior Associate to apply independence and ethical standards across audit and non-audit relationships. The role emphasizes learning, developing independence resources, and coordinating across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

You will contribute to independence training, assist with inquiries, and maintain collaboration with the Independence & Ethics team, supporting various services lines while managing priorities in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3–7 years of progressive audit, advisory or tax in a medium to large public accounting firm.
• Experience in a professional standards or quality role is a plus.
• CPA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply independence and ethical standards.
• Assist with independence inquiries and independence audits.
• Develop and maintain independence resources/publications.
• Assist with annual independence training development.
• Maintain communication with Independence & Ethics team and manage multiple projects.
