Job summary

The University of Northern Iowa's Department of History seeks applications for a renewable term Assistant Professor of Instruction in Applied Ethics, starting January 2027. The endowment-supported appointment includes the title Wilson Ethics Fellow and a 4/4 teaching load.

Responsibilities include teaching Business Ethics and Professional Ethics, collaborating with the Wilson College of Business, and contributing to curriculum across the Ethics, Philosophy, and Religion program.

Qualifications

• Compelling record of effective teaching in Applied Ethics.
• Ability to teach "Ethics for Professional Life" and "Philosophy of Law".

Responsibilities

• Teach Ethics, Professional Ethics, and related philosophy courses within the Ethics, Philosophy, and Religion program.
• Collaborate with UNI's Wilson College of Business on ethics education initiatives.
• Mentor students, serve on committees, and contribute programming on campus and in the community.
