Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a field-maintenance technician to service security screening equipment in the Virginia area. You will perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and on-site repairs for ETD systems, and respond to malfunctions to ensure readiness.

You will document trends, provide basic user training to Department personnel, and maintain logs and service records. A Secret clearance and US citizenship are required, with lifting up to 50 lbs and travel <10%.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting and diagnostic work on electronic/mechanical systems.
• Maintenance and calibration of security-related equipment.
• Document repairs and service actions accurately.
• Basic user training and technical support for field personnel.

Responsibilities

• Meet product lifecycle requirements for telecom, security, and tech products.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and testing of ETD systems.
• Respond promptly to equipment malfunction support requests.
• Support field customers with operational standards, field triage, and maintenance for deployed equipment.
• Document trends and failures to provide feedback to manufacturers to improve performance.
• Utilize maintenance system to document repairs and services performed on equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.
• Provide technical support and basic user training to Department personnel.
