Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks a process engineer to join a talented team focused on establishing and maintaining world-class processes and equipment with yield enhancement as a competitive advantage.

Responsibilities include monitoring wafer fabrication, qualifying new tools, coordinating qualifications and downtime, and using data analysis to guide processing decisions. On-site role based in Austin, TX with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related engineering field.
• 4+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• 300mm dry etch experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wafer fabrication process by responding to in-line issues and dispositionslots.
• Qualify wafer fabrication processes on new tools.
• Coordinate scheduling of process qualifications and equipment downtime with manufacturing or equipment engineering.
• Use software to analyze data, identify trends to make decisions about processing product.
• Make adjustments when process parameters are exceeded and monitor parameters when tools return from maintenance.
• Execute inline changes (CPM) to the process or equipment.
• Communicate technical information within the department through presentations.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Continuously revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The current base salary range for this role is between $106,000 - $145,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
