Job summary

A marketing agency in Milwaukee is seeking an Estimator to prepare quotes and budgetary guidelines. In this role, you'll collaborate with the creative team to develop cost estimates, manage scheduling for estimates, and maintain accurate documentation. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree or relevant experience in the industry. This is a pivotal position that offers unique challenges in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree and/or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in live event and trade show industry is preferred.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret sketches and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Review estimate schedule and meet due dates.

Estimator Role

As an Estimator supporting our Milwaukee division, you'll prepare quotes and budgetary guidelines. The Estimator also collaborates with the creative team to perform ballpark estimates on creative design. This position is an important role within the Estimating Department, and comes with unique and exciting challenges. Read through and apply if this sounds like the opportunity for you!

Estimator Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design team and perform ballpark estimates to aid creative with concept development budgets
• Use established estimating templates, corporate operations yearly set rates and mark-up and Master Service Agreement (MSA) client specific set rates and mark-ups as communicated
• Daily review online estimate schedule / calendar, meet established estimate due dates, update estimate schedule / calendar
• Participate in put – to – detail meetings
• Maintain estimating records per Derse policy and procedures including but not limited to standardized physical files and all digital documentation placed in the appropriate client folders on the network
• Use preferred vendor program
• Prepares Quote proposals based on; Labor, material, and subcontracted costs.
• The intended use of the quoted items are:
• Tradeshows
• Marketing Environments
• Events (architectural elements)
• Regional Programs
• Prepare Budgetary Guideline proposals based on; Labor, material, subcontracted costs, as well as published Exhibitor Service Manual information
• The intended use of Budgetary Guides are:
• Show Services / Transportation / I&D
• Production service work

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associate degree and / or 5+ more years of relevant experience
• Experience working within live event & trade show industry preferred
• Ability to read & accurately interpret sketches and blueprints
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word & Excel
