The ideal candidate has 5+ years of estimating experience, strong blueprint reading, and is comfortable with MS Office and AI tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
• Advanced blueprint reading is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with thorough estimates and records.
• Analytical and reliable, able to solve problems.
• Collaborative and professional, aligns with company values.
• Tech-savvy and quick to learn new software and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specs, and requirements to prepare cost estimates.
• Perform quantity take-offs and pricing using company standards.
• Assemble bid packages, proposals, and attend pre-bid meetings.
• Write project specifications for design/build work and raise RFIs.
• Secure vendor and subcontractor pricing and maintain bid files.
• Support project managers with purchasing, change orders, and contracts.
• Assist teammates with proposals and budgets.
• Collaborate in estimating team meetings to refine processes.
• Travel occasionally to sites within an hour of Brownstown; most time in office.
