Job summary

Great Place Construction Company seeks an Estimator to join the pre-construction team and handle estimates for commercial projects. You will calculate, compile, and prepare estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, and solicit specialty contractors to obtain competitive bids.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or progress toward one in construction or engineering, plus at least 3 years of related estimating experience and proficiency with estimating software. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or working toward one in construction or engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of related estimating experience.
• Familiarity with commercial estimating techniques and software (On-Screen Take Off, Bluebeam, ISqFT).

Responsibilities

• Generate project estimates.
• Complete quantity takeoffs.
• Solicit specialty contractors to obtain estimates.
• Maintain specialty contractor database and ensure current information.
• Assist in preparation of bid documents and RFPs.
• Support management in updating estimating software/database.
