Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Concrete Estimator/Project Manager to join a firm in upstate New York. The ideal candidate will develop accurate bid proposals, maintain project schedules, and track expenses to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Strong communication skills and a background in civil engineering or construction management are essential. Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of documented experience in estimating or project management.
• Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Strong understanding of crew composition and production rates.
• Working knowledge of means and methods, crew composition, production rates for Building Construction, Structural Concrete & Flatware Concrete.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete and accurate bid proposals including quantity take-offs.
• Attend pre-bid and progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Track project costs and cash flow to ensure projects are completed on budget.
• Outline and communicate specifications to superintendents and foreperson.
• Procure materials for the project.

• Develop business relationships to increase bid opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete and accurate bid proposal for concrete and building work including quantity take-off, crew composition, material and subcontractor pricing
• Develop and maintain project schedules
• Attend pre-bid and progress meetings with the owner, vendors and subcontractors
• Outline and communicate specifications to superintendents and foreperson
• Procure materials for the project
• Track project costs and cash flow to ensure project is completed on budget and on time
• Develop business relationships to increase bid opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associates degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
• Computer literacy in the following softwares: Construction Link Estimating, CPM Scheduling, Foundations Accounting, Bluebeam/Adobe Pro, MS Office Suite
• Excellent communication, written & verbal
• Attention to detail
• Working knowledge of means and methods, crew composition, production rates for Building Construction, Structural Concrete & Flatware Concrete
