Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is hiring a full-time Estimator to work at our office in Waggaman, LA. You will prepare bid proposals, interpret piping drawings, and estimate technical designs for wastewater and pipe support projects.

The role requires analyzing vendor quotes and RFQ documents to deliver accurate quotations. The ideal candidate has a background in pipe supports and takeoffs, CAD drafting experience, and strong math skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; experience in estimating steel fabrication, pipe supports, or wastewater projects.
• Proficient in reading piping drawings and cost estimating.
• Ability to analyze vendor quotes, drawings, and RFQ documents to compute costs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bid proposals using cost estimates and price structures.
• Perform technical and commercial evaluations of customer requirements.
• Interpret piping drawings and estimate technical designs.
• Gather quotes, drawings, specifications, and related RFQ documents for estimation.
• Present quotations to clients based on requirements and estimates.
• Maintain knowledge through educational workshops and publications.
• Use Excel and Word to prepare estimates.
• Maintain a safe, productive work environment.
