Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Architectural Estimator to develop custom products and project estimates from architectural plans and specifications. The role combines technical design, estimating, customer interaction, and project coordination on site.

The ideal candidate understands architectural drawings and sheet metal fabrication and can develop accurate estimates while working with customers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting architectural blueprints and performing accurate material takeoffs.
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven manufacturing or fabrication work background.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Perform material and labor takeoffs and prepare accurate project estimates and quotations.
  • Calculate material requirements, labor, and project costs using established methods and Excel.
  • Work with architects and customers to develop and refine designs based on project requirements.
  • Translate architectural concepts into practical, manufacturable products.
  • Coordinate projects with Engineering, Production, Sales, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to support competitive project estimates.
  • Identify potential issues early and work with customers and internal teams to develop solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy, deadlines, and customer requirements.
  • Work independently while exercising sound judgment and decision-making.

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Architectural Estimator to develop custom products and project estimates based on architectural plans and specifications. This position combines technical design, estimating, customer interaction, and project coordination.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of architectural drawings and sheet metal fabrication, along with the ability to develop accurate estimates and work effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Perform material and labor takeoffs and prepare accurate project estimates and quotations.
  • Calculate material requirements, labor, and project costs using established methods and Excel.
  • Work with architects and customers to develop and refine designs based on project requirements.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Familiarity with equipment such as shears, press brakes, CNC punches, laser cutting, welding, or similar machinery.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, architects, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
