Job summary

American Capital Group is seeking a seasoned Construction Estimator to lead bid and budgeting efforts for large-scale multifamily, mixed-use, or hospitality projects.

Based in Bellevue, WA, this on-site role requires coordinating with operations, architects, and subcontractors, preparing takeoffs, and delivering accurate budgets with market data. The ideal candidate has eight+ years in construction and six years in estimating, with proficiency in estimating software and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Assoc. or Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Eight years construction industry experience.
  • Six years construction estimating experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple project estimates and deliverables for large-scale multifamily, mixed-use, or hospitality projects (300+ units).
  • Thorough understanding of industry practices, estimating procedures, and local market.
  • Proficient in construction and estimating techniques and software.
  • Proven track record of working with operations teams, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and owners.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in English with strong reading, speaking, and writing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Manage design, bid, and project documentation (drawings, specs, RFIs, addenda).
  • Set up projects in estimating/bidding platforms and maintain bidder/vendor info.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and trade partners to ensure bid coverage.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and prepare Bid Leveling Sheets.
  • Assist with budgets using market and historical data (DD/CD/GMP).
  • Analyze plans/specs, write bid scopes, support value engineering.
  • Support contract negotiations and bidder feedback.
  • Participate in site visits and coordination meetings.
  • Build strong subcontractor/vendor relationships and mentor team members.

Position Overview

Schedule – Monday through Friday from 7am – 4pm PT. Flexibility to work additional hours may be required to meet company/project needs. On-Site Requirement: This position requires physical presence at our corporate office during office hours.

Compensation Package

Compensation Package– $140,000 – $170,000 / Year. The above compensation is a range. Offers are made based upon a candidate’s experience and the geographical location of this position.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of Eight years construction industry experience.
  • Minimum of Six years construction estimating experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple project estimates and deliverables for large-scale multifamily, mixed-use, or hospitality projects (300+ units).
  • Thorough understanding of industry practices, estimating procedures, and the local construction market.
  • Proficient in construction and estimating techniques and software.
  • Proven track record of successfully working with operations teams, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and owners.
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in effective communication and teamwork.
  • Maintains a positive outlook and embraces a collaborative team approach.
  • Shows responsibility and takes pride in their work.
  • Fluent in English, with strong reading, speaking, and writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
