Job summary

Arconic is seeking an Estimator II to join the Kawneer team in Harrisonburg, VA, supporting storefronts, curtain walls, doors and windows with cost estimates and competitive pricing.

Reporting to the Order Pursuit Supervisor, you will prepare estimates from plans, consult with internal teams and clients, and provide responsive service with strong communication. This in-person role offers a benefits-rich environment, full-time exempt schedule and no travel.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cost estimations for projects and construction plans using customer supplied lists, customer elevations, and architectural plans.
• Provides exceptional customer service for Kawneer’s clients.
• Consults with internal teams, clients, sales reps, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Be a point‑of‑contact on phone inquiries with expectation of 100% response and customer assistance without frequently forwarding calls to other front‑end employees.

Job Summary:

Arconic is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Estimator II to join the Kawneer team in Springdale, AR, supporting the U.S. Building & Construction Systems (BCS) division. Reporting to the Order Pursuit Supervisor, this impactful role is at the forefront of bringing innovative building projects to life by developing competitive pricing and estimates for storefronts, curtain walls, doors, and windows.

In this role, you will:

You have: (required)

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited educational institution.

• 2-5 years of experience in the Construction Industry (estimating, drafting, project management, etc.)

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)

• Associate or Bachelor degree from an accredited institution

• 5-10 years of work experience in the construction / architectural industry.

• 5-10 years of cost estimating experience.

• Previous experience providing cost estimates for Curtain Wall / Window Wall products.

• Experience using JD Edwards and / or KaluCAD

• Ability to visualize design concepts from Architectural Plans.

• Experience negotiating.

• Ability to calculate engineering loads on single and double window spans.
