Job summary

Corporate Resources of Illinois is hiring a general construction Estimator in Rolling Meadows, IL to produce timely installation and material quotes for our outside Sales Representatives, reporting to the Chief Estimator.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in construction estimating, a related bachelor’s degree (preferred), and experience with CAD takeoffs using Bluebeam and Procore Estimating; strong document-reading skills and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in construction estimating.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Experience creating takeoffs via CAD software.
• Ability to read construction drawings/documents.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines.
• Highly organized with the ability to close projects.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers and outside Sales Representatives to understand project needs and scope.
• Review and complete takeoffs of construction documents, including specifications, drawings, and bid requirements.
• Perform takeoffs using CAD software (Bluebeam, Procore Estimating).
• Develop estimates including installation, material supply, equipment, and subcontractor quotes.
• Prepare formal bid proposals, budgets, and cost analyses.
• Identify scope gaps, project risks, and value engineering opportunities.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, job walks, and site visits.
• Maintain daily CRM updates, tracking quote and project status.
• Track and adjust quantities as needed; assist with discrepancies.
• Maintain file of working project documents for backup to estimating figures.

Job Summary

We are seeking a general construction Estimator to join our team. This role's primary function is producing accurate, timely installation and material supply quotes to support our outside Sales Representatives. This position reports to the Chief Estimator.

Duties & Functions

• Communicate with customers and outside Sales Representatives to understand project needs and scope.
• Review and complete thorough takeoffs of construction project documents, including specifications, drawings, and bid requirements.
