• 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction cost management.
• Experience in Estimating, Cost Engineering, Project Cost Controls, etc.
• Thrives in a client-facing role and strong communication skills.
• Experience supporting program-level cost management for medium or large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of value management and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design.
• Support client land acquisitions and design milestones with updated cost plans.
• Review design changes and prepare estimates with appropriate accuracy.
• Contribute to value engineering and design optioneering.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts for construction life cycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in preparing estimates and cost plans.
• Benchmark data and ensure accurate data capture for life-cycle costing.
• Support monthly client presentations with cost insights.
• SOX controls responsibilities may apply where relevant.

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Construction Estimator to join our growing Nashville team, supporting estimating services for a diverse portfolio of projects across real estate developments, data centers (including major hyperscale facilities), and civil and local government infrastructure programs.

Responsibilities

• Developing cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design.
• Supporting Client land acquisitions.
• Delivering and presenting updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones.
• Reviewing proposed design changes/new technologies and preparing estimates within appropriate accuracy levels.
• Understanding design stages and estimate levels.
• Providing commercial input to design optioneering and input into value engineering exercises.
• Preparing cash commit forecasts for the construction life cycle.
• Working collaboratively with stakeholders in the preparation of estimates/ cost plans.
• Analyzing labor markets and cost drivers such as unions & tax.
• Supporting our clients with monthly presentations.
• Delivering Life Cycle Costing models.
• Benchmarking integration to ensure accurate data capture.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Experience working in a construction cost management role such as Estimating, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Cost Controls etc.
• Thrives in a client facing role.
• Experience supporting program level cost management for medium or large-scale construction projects.
• Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering
• Strong communication skills.
