Job summary

Addison Group is assisting with a mid-level Estimator role in Phoenix, AZ. The estimator will develop budgets for commercial construction projects, analyze drawings and specifications, and contribute to successful bid submissions.

The role requires 1–6 years of estimating experience, proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit, and strong Excel skills. OnScreen Takeoff or similar tools are preferred. Direct hire with a strong, employee-focused culture and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1–6 years of experience in construction estimating
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM platforms
• Experience with estimating tools such as OnScreen Takeoff or similar software preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and project scope
• Perform quantity take-offs and pricing analysis using estimating software and internal tools
• Collaborate with architects, owners, and internal project teams to refine budgets throughout the design lifecycle
• Present cost summaries and explain variances or scope adjustments to stakeholders
• Manage multiple bid opportunities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Support value engineering efforts and recommend cost-effective solutions
• Maintain organized documentation for all bids, revisions, and communications
