Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Experience with computer-aided drafting (CAD) and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and estimates for products or projects.
• Review architectural plans and specifications for the work to be quoted.
• Check and verify with the application engineer the performance and structural requirements of the project.
• Prepare material take-offs by quantities and type for proper pricing.
• Prepare the Scope of Work to be sent to customers with quotation.
• Obtain vendor quotations for items not made by YKK.
• Prepare the estimate for the work to be bid using cost data and price lists.
• Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for management planning and bidding.
• Provide improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures.
