Job summary

CC&N is seeking a skilled estimator to support Operations, Project Managers, and Field Resources. Responsibilities include estimating time and materials, coordinating vendor quotes, and preparing proposals for diverse system projects.

The role involves leading bid reviews, assisting with RFP/RFQ creation, site walks, and maintaining pricing docs. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in team environment with demonstrated positive attitude.
• In-depth understanding of products and cabling infrastructures.
• Ability to read and understand floor plans.
• Valid Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance.
• 3+ years in the communications industry.
• 1+ year as an ICT estimator and/or designer.
• RCDD in progress or Certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam Revu.
• Accubid Enterprise experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead bid reviews and ensure labor units and materials are accurate before presenting to customers.
• Assist with RFP/ RFQ creation and site walks.
• Interact with manufacturers on new products.
• Develop and maintain product, vendor, and subcontractor information.
• Support take-offs, quotes, and proposals for Operations.
• Update pricing and quotation documents.
• Design system drawings as required.
• Manage design requests in CRM.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

To provide estimation for various low-voltage systems in support of Operations, Project Managers, and Field Resources.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for estimation of time and materials, vendor quotes and proposal generation for a wide variety of specialty system projects
• Leads Bid Reviews and reviews proposals for accuracy of labor units and materials prior to presentation to customer
• Responsible for RFP response generation and support of assigned Account Owner or Project Managers with RFP/RFQ creation (including but not limited to site walk-throughs and site measurements)
• Interacts with manufacturers on new products
• Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors and new products
• Supports Operations Team by doing take-offs, vendor quotes, and proposal generation on an as-needed basis
• Updates product pricing and quotation documentation
• Design of various systems drawings as required
• Manage design requests and opportunities in CRM
• Other duties as assigned
