Salisbury Moore, LLC is seeking an Estimator to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects. You will interpret plans, perform material take-offs, coordinate with subcontractors, and manage bid calendars to ensure timely, competitive bids and post-bid profitability analysis.

The role involves site visits, data maintenance, and collaboration with Project Managers to ensure smooth handoff and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Bid Calendar and meet all deadlines.
  • Interface with clients, architects, engineers, and subs to clarify requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions affecting cost.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals.
  • Develop and maintain historical cost data; analyze bid-to-actual results.
  • Prepare, submit, and track all project bids per company procedures.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers during handoff for smooth transitions.
  • Ensure documentation is complete and submitted per standards.
  • Participate in change order pricing and assist with material procurement.
  • Maintain records of active bids and estimation metrics; support BD meetings.

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities

Education And Experience
  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Required: Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
  • Preferred: Experience with estimating software and project management platforms
Licensing/Certification
  • Required: Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
Physical Requirements

The role may require occasional standing, walking, or bending to file documents, attend meetings, or move between office areas. Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; regular travel to job sites required. Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with moderate to high noise levels.
