Job summary

DPR Construction in the United States is seeking an experienced Estimator to deliver comprehensive cost estimates for moderately complex projects. You will work with cross-functional teams to inform planning, bidding, and execution, applying data-driven insights to improve profitability and value engineering options.

Responsibilities include preparing bid packages, reviewing drawings, analyzing market costs, and supporting continuous improvement in estimating processes across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • 4-6 years of experience in estimating, cost analysis, project controls, or a related field.
  • Certifications and Licenses: None required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares detailed and accurate project cost estimates for moderately complex projects, incorporating material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs from concept through final pricing.
  • Extracts production data for planning, scope alignment, and integration of family of companies to support project deliverables.
  • Reviews project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Coordinates with Precon Coordinators, project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to assemble comprehensive bid packages and provide clear instructions to bidders.
  • Analyzes market trends, vendor pricing, and historical data to inform estimate development and risk assessment.
  • Contributes to value engineering efforts by analyzing cost impacts and proposing alternative materials, methods, or solutions to enhance project value.
  • Supports estimate reviews and documentation by organizing assumptions, qualifications, and clarifications to promote transparency and alignment with project objectives.
