Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Downers Grove, IL, is seeking an Estimator to deliver an exceptional customer experience while preparing vehicle repair estimates and coordinating needs with customers and insurance companies. You’ll assess damage, document repairs and parts, and work with the team to meet KPIs, ensuring accurate communication and smooth repair planning throughout the process.

Experience with DRP processes, I-CAR training, and a strong eye for detail will help you excel in this role

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Repairs and OE Guidelines.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• DRP experience (minimum 1 year).
• Willingness to complete I-CAR Training.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Document and update every customer interaction with details.
• Provide accurate, timely information to customers guiding them through repairs.
• Ensure compliance with insurance client requirements and repair processes.
• Adhere to WOW Operating Way’s for customer drop-offs, repair planning, and delivery.
• Communicate customer requests to appropriate team members.
• Offer positive energy when greeting customers in person and on the phone.
• Understand insurance programs and procedures applicable to repairs.
• Participate in daily production walks with Management as required.
• Support team members as needed.
• Attend health & safety and staff meetings when required.
• Attend trainings and information sessions recommended by Store Manager.
• Maintain store KPIs by maximizing role performance.
• Uphold Core Values: Honesty, Integrity & Respect.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum 1-year DRP experience

Willingness to complete I-CAR Training

Valid Driver's License

Job Description

The Estimator’s primary responsibility and accountability is to provide an exceptional and successful customer experience while creating estimates, coordinating repair needs for customers including all communication, informing and updating customers and insurance companies throughout the repair process. The Estimator accurately assesses the damage of vehicles and documents needed repairs and parts replacement on the damage appraisal. The Estimator plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer’s experience by ensuring they are working in alignment with all team members in achieving the repair facility's KPIs.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure every customer interaction is documented, updated efficiently and accurately with pertinent details
• Provide Customer with accurate and timely information, guiding them through the repair process and ensuring that they receive excellent customer service
• Ensure compliance with all insurance client requirements, processes and metrics
• Ensure compliance with all WOW Operating Way’s regarding customer drop-offs, repair planning, customer communication, and delivery
• Communicate all customer requests and needs to appropriate team members
• Provides positive energy when greeting customers in person and on the phone
• Understanding of all required Insurance programs and procedures
• Participate in daily “production walks” with the Management Team, as required
• Support all team members when required
• Participate in monthly Health & Safety and staff meeting (if required)
• Attend training, information sessions and workshops recommended by Store Manager
